Philosophy

Making Records should be FUN!

My goal in the studio is to create an environment where artists can relax, experiment, and take creative risks without the stress that sometimes creeps into recording sessions. When the atmosphere is right, performances get better, ideas flow faster, and songs can grow into something bigger than anyone expected.

My studio is set up to keep creative momentum constant. Drums are permanently mic’d and ready to record. I keep a wide range of guitars, keyboards, pedals, and other instruments within reach so we can quickly bring up whatever sound you’re hearing in your head. I’ve spent years making all kinds of different records across every genre you can think of and experimenting with different sounds. That means we can pivot quickly, try new ideas on the spot, and keep the session moving while the inspiration is still there.

At the same time, I’m deeply focused on helping artists realize the most exciting version of their music. Whether it’s improving lyrical clarity, shaping arrangements, dialing in sounds, or pushing a mix until it hits just right, my goal is always the same: help turn the song you hear in your head into the most incredible version it can possibly be.

At the end of the day, you should feel like this record was one of the most fun parts of being an artist.

If this sounds like a great way to make a record, reach out and tell me about your next project!
